  3. For Legendary, place the lone .exe file in whatever folder you want it
  4. (Optional) Open Control Panel, search for "Environmental Variables" and select "Edit for your account." Scroll down to Path and double click to edit, then add the path to the folder where you put Legendary
  5. Open CMD or Powershell and type Legendary auth
  6. Use "legendary list-games" and then "legendary install name" to download games
  7. (Optional) Add games to other launchers by adding the legendary.exe and adding the "launch [game]" parameter in the launch options
Note: if you don't run it directly in CMD/Powershell, Legendary will not alert you if you need to update out-of-date games. If the game doesn't launch, this is usually why.

GZDoom

  1. (Optional) Decide where you want your files, set up a file structure like this
    • ~/DOOM/Source Ports/
    • ~/DOOM/WADS/

  7. Under IWADs, do the same but with the core IWAD files for DOOM, DOOM 2, etc.
  8. Click back to Launch Config
  9. On the right, set the Source Port to GZDoom and the IWAD to Doom II: Hell on Earth
  10. On the left, add whatever files you want to load into DOOM
  11. If joining a game, add -join X.X.X.X:XXXX to the command line arguments box
  12. If hosting a game, add -host X (x = # of players) and -port XXXX
